Industry Screening of Paradise Without People

Together with Italian director Francesca Trianni, Lynsey Addario is behind the documentary Paradise Without People, produced by TIME Studios. 

Set during the height of Europe’s ongoing migrant crisis, Paradise Without People chronicles the emotional journey of two Syrian families and their asylum process in Greece as they attempt to build a new life for themselves in Europe to widely different results and expectations. Directed by Emmy-nominated journalist Francesca Trianni, it brings a glimmer of humanity to an international emergency that is too often simplified into a talking point for today’s polarized politics.

Director & Journalist

Francesca Trianni is an Emmy-nominated director and producer at TIME, where she has worked since 2013. She has contributed to many of TIME’s most important stories, and her work won a World Press Photo award for Innovative Storytelling in 2018. Paradise Without People, is Trianni's debut feature documentary. After the screening Trianni will be present for a Face2Face conversation.
